AeroPress Recipes for Every Mood

The AeroPress is the Swiss Army knife of coffee brewing. Compact, forgiving, and endlessly versatile. Here are three recipes we keep coming back to.

1. The Classic (Clean & Bright)

  • 15g coffee, medium-fine grind
  • 200ml water at 95°C
  • Standard method (filter on bottom)

Add coffee, pour all water, stir 3 times, cap with filter, and press at 1:30. Total time: ~2 minutes. This gives you a clean, tea-like cup that highlights origin character.

2. The Inverted (Rich & Full)

  • 17g coffee, medium grind
  • 220ml water at 90°C
  • Inverted method (plunger on bottom)

Insert plunger about 1cm into the chamber, flip upside down. Add coffee, pour water, stir 5 times. Steep for 2 minutes. Cap, flip onto your mug, and press slowly for 30 seconds. This produces a heavier body — closer to a French press but without the silt.

3. The Iced (Cool & Refreshing)

  • 18g coffee, fine grind
  • 100ml water at 96°C
  • 100g ice in your serving glass

Brew a concentrated shot using the standard method — shorter steep (1 minute), firm press. The hot concentrate melts into the ice, diluting to perfect strength while locking in bright, fruity notes. Add a splash of cold water if needed.

The beauty of the AeroPress is experimentation. Change one variable at a time and taste the difference.
