Black tea, Ginger, Caramel, Buttery finish
We have a new love for light roasts, and Bhavika's favourite green bean at the roastery is the one that goes into Kora Zinfandel. So we took the bean and roasted it again. Now we like it not in 1 way, but 2 ways. We drink the Kora Zinfandel in espressos now, and the Kora Lumina in filter based methods.
We have truly understood the term metamorphosis by the sheer magic of this bean, transforming beautifully, like night and day at the beachside on a moonlit night.
Originating from the Koraput region, this FPC is doing a great job at processing its beans with care and giving good, consistent produce. Love unlocked.
We also had the privilege of providing these beans at the Kerala Masters by The Brew School, which was an excellent platform to understand how well this coffee could do in the light roast - 203 degrees drop temperature. The winning participant could extract berry notes out of the coffee - we have experienced red fruit notes in some of the brews ourselves - but it needs a good barista to get those notes out, and hence we skipped mentioning it officially. Do you think you have it in you to extract it? If yes, what brewer would you choose?
